Youths in Kenya plus Soccer

It's like custom almost default passage that most Kenyan youths have to dribble through childhood into adult hood playing the lovely game Football. Back in my teens I played the Under_12-14-18 in tier organized by MYSA (Mathare Youth Sports Academy) to to climb the ladder into professional football and join clubs like Gor Mahia, Fc Leopards, KSharks, Tusker just to mention a few of the top flight Kenya Premier League teams.

The juggle of academics and soccer was one of my major pararells which I had to mash most of the time trying to balance both, but coming from a humble background guess my dream of being a professional player got bumpy. This is a testimony for alot of talents down in the grassroot levels but where there's a wheel there's a way now scouts from around the globe are spotted in different leagues matches from county leagues to premier league spying on fresh and potential talent to represent in EPL and European leagues the likes of Mariga and Olunga.

The Kenyan Government is also puting efforts and liasing with FIFA to bring our game to international standards, we all hope for a brighter future for our lads.
